Established in 1946, our newly renovated, third-generation, family-run hotel offers comfortable and relaxing accommodation in 40 tastefully decorated en-suite bedrooms, all with free WiFi, ceiling fans, DSTV and kettles. Family inter-leading rooms and cots on request. We offer both Bed & Breakfast and Dinner, Bed & Breakfast options, except during the December school holidays, when our rates are All Inclusive.

Our facilities include a large outdoor swimming pool, beauty spa, beach boutique, an à la carte restaurant and pub, a residents lounge and dining room, a wedding and conference venue, braai facilities, a games room, playground, kiddies TV lounge, childminding services, in-room safes and a laundry service. Beach towels and umbrellas are included, while surfboards, sand boards, body boards, SUPs and canoes are available to hire.

Conferences and Functions

A brand new venue for conference and wedding hire is also available. We cater for the more casual and informal conference for up to 120 people. We are able to host banquet, board room, cinema and U-shape style conferences. Conference packages are also should you choose us to manage the catering and accommodation for delegates.

We also offer additional services including printing, WiFi, typing, stationary and audio and visual hire as well as airport transfers and a shuttle service.

Weddings

The Morgan Bay Hotel is fast becoming a very popular choice of venue for weddings. This elegant venue, just a few steps from the beach, offers breathtaking views and relaxed and comfortable environment for a wedding.

Allow us cater for up to 120 guests from a choice of menu options accommodating all dietary requirements. We will also happily recommend hairdressers, photographers, DJs and florists local to the East London area.

Activities and Attractions

Activities and attractions include a mile-long beach, majestic cliffs criss-crossed with hiking and moutain biking trails, fishing, surfing, canoeing, horse riding, bird watching, rock climbing and abseiling. Within a 15km radius you can enjoy an 18 hole golf course, township tours and a tranquil coastal nature reserve, where you can comb the beach for Ming Dynasty Porcelain, Money Cowries and Carnelian Beads from a 17th Century Portuguese shipwreck.

The Sandhoppa Beach Boutique

The Sandhoppa boutique is also open and sells a range of branded clothing, footwear, hand bags, costumes and towels to ensure you have everything you need for your stay should you have forgotten anything.

The Milkwood Spa

At the magnificent Milkwood Spa you will struggle to find a more breath taking view from a spa in the Eastern Cape. You will be treated to the sights and the sounds of the rugged Wild Coast while you relax and enjoy your time with us. We offer a fantastic range of massage and beauty treatments as well as a sauna and jacuzzi. Treat yourself to one of our various packages including a couples package, perfect for honeymooners.
